sunday shopping: watches.

i am one of those people who says i feel naked when i forget to wear a watch! it's always been more about function (i really like to know what time it is!) over fashion, but what's wrong with having both when watches these days are this pretty & interesting?

fossil has always been my favorite watch brand (i currently wear the stella) and i think it may be time for me to add another one of their lovely watches to my collection after seeing these new offerings. the silver band & black face is so sharp, but i'm really kind of smitten with the gold band & coral face watch. do you wear a watch?

i picked up this dress a couple weeks ago at the goodwill - usually dresses from the mossimo and xhiliartaion brands are way too short for my comfort, but i gave this one a try and was pleasantly surprised that it comes to my knees!  i definitely couldn't leave it on the shelf after it met the length test!

 

these necklaces are from one of my favorite small businesses based out of tulsa, ok, gleeful peacock!  every time i am in tulsa i pick up a new piece of her jewelry at a local shop but i ordered these necklaces from her online shop last month where she has a much bigger selection.  her jewelry is so delicate & whimsy and adds a perfect complement to so many of my outfits - it's not that noticeable, but i wear one of her bracelets next to my watch everyday--see a close up below!  i was looking for some simple chain necklaces to wear when a statement necklace is just too much, and i love layering these two necklaces together.

week in review

i thought i'd post this week's "week in review" post since i haven't been posting much lately.  i'm still in a little bit of a rut.  i took the day off of work yesterday for a much needed mental health day.  my caseload has been catching up with me and i've allowed to internalize more issues & concerns related to my clients than is appropriate, leaving me feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and stressed.  social work "no no" #1.  thankfully i can recognize this happening pretty easily and so i'm glad i took a day off yesterday.  here are a few other little pictures of things that have been making me happy lately...
