this skirt was one of my finds when i went thrifting with my mom this past weekend.  over the period of the week she was visiting, we went to four different goodwills, one of them twice!  i bought this skirt with the intention of selling it on ebay as it's shorter than i normally wear, but when the temps dipped back down to the 50s with rain in the forecast, it seemed like the perfect day to wear it at least once with tights!

here's a spread of some of my other goodwill finds from this week.  my clothing spending is ridiculous this month (and i know i'm not going to be able to stay away when the GW is going to be 50% off on memorial day) but it was fun thrifting with my mom and finding some good deals!

i had another day today as i did yesterday, so enter client uniform again.  i really enjoyed reading what a few of you shared with me in yesterday's post about how you dress for your different work days, i like knowing that there are a lot of us who aren't just throwing on an outfit to make a good blog post or highlight on "on trend" item but for what our day requires us to be doing.

this has felt like an awkwardly long week for me so far, with so much going on and so few resolutions.  i guess that's the nature of my job, though... we're always working on something and sometimes there's only a short period of stability until a major event happens that needs to be managed.  it keeps me on my toes, though.  have a great rest of the week!

edit:  at first i titled this post WEDNESDAY and in viewing my blog after publishing the post i realized... wait.  it can't be wednesday, this is the fourth time i've posted this week.  i guess i can retract my earlier statement and now exclaim, tomorrow is friday!  yay!

forgive my regression back into wearing these black slacks during my exciting pants week.  i had another pair on, but they just didn't look quite right.  i think i've learned this week that slacks don't necessarily equal  boring though, and i'm looking forward to continuing to incorporate them into my business-casual wardrobe.  

tomorrow evening i'm headed to a wedding, so i'll try to post a picture of what i end up wearing.  i can literally count the number of weddings i've been to on one hand, including those in which my twin sister & i were cute flower girls when we were little.  needless to say... i don't know what to wear!  there isn't going to be a proper dinner after the ceremony, just a dessert buffet, so i am thinking it will be more casual & laid back.  this is what i am thinking about wearing, but it doesn't really say "i'm going to a wedding!" because i would wear this to work!  is that okay?  i'm open for suggestions!

today's outfit does double duty for the 21 day challenge, which i have regretfully not been doing too well with this past week and a half or so.  today i'm wearing my remix item (black skirt) for the third time, fulfilling that requirement, and now i think i am going to push it to the back of my closet and try to work some other skirts and slacks into rotation!  what i really want to talk about is this gorgeous statement necklace.  it's perfect that this prompt came up when it did, as i just received this gorgeous necklace in the mail from abbey.  i'm no stranger to chunky necklaces, but this one really wowed me!  talk about a statement!
