march 11th {neglected turtleneck}

j crew lattice print skirt {thrifted}
merona turtleneck & merona melinda wedges

i am trying to be loyal to this no longer neglected challenge, but today's outfit is a little bit of a stretch--again.  i wear this skirt all the time, the last time was in october 2012.  i love this skirt so much that i try to wear it at least once a quarter though, so it was definitely time to be worn again.  this dark brown turtleneck is another story, i haven't worn it in over a year!  now that's neglected.  since my turtleneck wearing days feel numbered, i wanted to make it a point to wear it today and try a new color combination of brown and blue accents with this skirt.  i wear a lot of different colors with this tan & cream skirt, but this may be one of my favorites.

i promise i'll dig out some more neglected pieces from my closet to wear this week!

thursday (all 12 degrees of it)

old navy cardigan   merona turtleneck {thrifted target stock}
mossimo skirt {thrifted}   american eagle myles riding boots

i just had to take pictures today wearing my favorite winter hat from turtle fur.  plus, i'm sure my hair looks real attractive underneath {not really}.  when you live in a snowy, cold climate you have to have fun outerwear & accessories, and i love this hat because it covers my ears!  it hasn't gotten any wear yet this winter with our crazy heat wave so i'm glad i could break it out today.  do you have any fun winter accessories that make bearing frigid temperatures a little easier?

merona eden skirt   merona turtleneck {thrifted target stock}
banana republic cardigan {thrifted}   mossimo kachiri boots
i loved my outfit the first time i wore this skirt and had to force myself not to wear the exact same outfit again today.  i still pulled in the olive green with the scarf and pulled out the pinkish hues in the skirt's pattern with the cardigan.  it's getting colder here in the midwest, so i'm layered with a turtleneck underneath that and knee highs under my boots!  i know i wear these boots all the time, but when the temperatures dip down i feel less like wearing other foot wear like heels.  tights, knee highs, and boots are so comfortable and cozy when it gets chilly outside!  i'm ready for winter!
