i am so excited that today starts off the pantone-inspired fall color challenge marissa & i are hosting.  are you all wearing something vivacious today?!  i have a few magenta items in my closet to choose from but i decided on these chinese laundry heels i ordered in a recent threadup purchase (click here to join through my referral link and receive $10 off your first order!) that i haven't worn yet.  i think they added a perfect pop of something fun, which is what i'm always aiming for when i put together outfits each day.

really, why can't brown & black can't be worn together?  think about how often it occurs in nature, like with animal prints.  i loved the black & tab mixed together in this outfit (even if it looks stretched out and wrinkled by the end of the day!).  in fact, i think i am going to have a hard time not wearing some shade of black & tan together whenever i wear these heels, but i think the light blue button-down was a nice addition.  here's to welcoming in the weekend with my most jazzed outfit this week... i love it.  i'll post my weekly recap tonight or tomorrow.  happy friday!

i'm pretty conservative in my tight color choices due to my conservative work environment, but of course i had to participate in today's ebew challange: colored tights!  i love these maroon colored tights, it's a nice change from the brown & black tights that i usually wear.  i like, too, how they're not too pronounced and easily blend into the dark skirt depending on the light.
