this has been another lazy week of blogging for me and i feel the need to apologize!  maybe i haven't quite gotten back into the swing of things since i was on vacation all last week, but our first major snowfall this week also affected my daily schedule as i decided to stay off the roads and work from home wednseday and thursday.  i'm so glad i have the opportunity right now to forward my phone to my work cell and bring my laptop home when there's inclement weather.

this is what i wore friday for a wonderful trip to the dentist and venture into the office.  i wanted to dress more up than down since i didn't wear anything special when i worked from home earlier in the week, and i expected i would be visiting some clients.  i ended up staying at my desk catching up on things, but it still felt good to wear something a little nicer than jeans.  this outfit is basically a repeat of this one, but i had to take a cue from whitney and wear these fun boots instead!

i think we are definitely in the holiday swing--one of my favorite times of the year!  of course it's great to spend time with family and enjoy great food, but i also love all of the holiday movies that come on tv!  i think i was inspired by one i watched over the weekend featuring a librarian who wore the cutest skirts and bow tie blouses so i had to pull out one of my own that i honestly can't even remember the last time i wore.  this is only my second time wearing this skirt, but i can say for certain it isn't going anywhere any time soon.  do you have any favorite holiday movies?  i love all of the ones that come on the hallmark channel and lifetime.  there have been some good ones so far this year.  thanks for visiting!

sept 12th / you guys knew i was serious about getting this skirt, right?  so serious that i went over to a target that's less than two miles from my office two days this week during my lunch break looking for it.  they didn't have my size either day (i went back the second day thinking maybe it was in the fitting room and the sales associate needed to put it back out on the floor... nope).  i finally found it at the target closest to my house.  success!
