i felt so feminine and classy in this outfit all day, i think it had to do with the lighter gray and lighter purple/pink that seemed to really complement one another and of course the pearls!  this dress got me through the winter with its thicker fleece knit but i'm glad i can find ways to wear it during other times of the year as well.  

this dress also happened to be a great backdrop to feature two new cd's i purchased last week on instagram - i can't remember the last time i bought an actual cd in the store, not to mention two in one day!  and the day after this, i bought another cd (nate reuss's new solo cd)!  i've been so eager for new music and so far have been pretty impressed with these albums!  what is the last cd you bought (either in a store or downloaded online)?

sadly, i guess i have been a bit lax about posting outfit pictures with this dress because i feel like i have been wearing it quite frequently but i've only featured one outfit with it on my blog so far!  we'll, here's another to add to the mix.  i'm so glad i purchased this dress back in december because i have definitely gotten good use out of it this winter.  our temps in minnesota are inching toward that threshold where tights are suitable in the early morning but are regretted in the afternoon, so i'm not sure i'll be wearing many more outfits like this, but i'd still like to try wearing this dress without tights as we transition into spring.

it is rare that i buy dresses from old navy anymore because they always end up being too short on me, but something about this dress stood out to me so i figured i'd give the tall size a try... and i love it!  the fabric is so soft and forgiving and it ended up being the perfect length.  i'm glad to have a nice fitting dress like this in my closet that is bound to prove its versatility.  i kept it pretty standard today with the black button down underneath but i liked the magenta stones in the necklace that match the belt and the gold accents on my shoes, necklace, and belt hardware.  if you are at all interested in this dress (link below), it's currently on clearance for $14.97 and you can use the code "treat" for an extra 15% off, lucky gals!
